The “charreria” finds its birthplace in the equestrian and livestock practices in Mexico in the sixteenth century as a result of the Spanish conquest.
Large farms were lots of scenarios where agriculture and livestock generated evolution, importance and growth of man emerges from the field: The Mexican “charro”.
In the early nineteenth century the people of the farms around the country organized event in which “charros” demonstrated their expertise and compete with other “charros”.

The “Charro”, or “charreria” sport, as currently exists, Began in the United States in the seventies when the Mexico - Americans looking for ways to express pride in their culture, they asked the Mexican Federation of “charreria” that support for overseas tournaments, set in an official capacity.

The Mexican rodeo arena in the United States follows the same guidelines and regulations of the “charreria” in Mexico. The atmosphere created on the canvas by “charro” costumes, music and dishes gives Mexicans living outside their country the opportunity to celebrate their identity at the same time allowing you to have a cultural connection with Mexico.

The women participating in skirmishes rodeo arenas and “charros”, either south or north of the border, the same passion and show the same delivery to present one of the most entrenched expressions of Mexican culture to the world and to preserve these customs for the following generations.
